Kansas City was founded in 1838, but the birth of the city we know today came about eighty years later, in 1920. Kansas City thrived under Prohibition and was famously known as the "Paris of the Plains" for its free-flowing liquor at Speakeasies, enviable jazz scene and embrace of new styles of dance and dress. A hundred years later, we are celebrating the most important era in Kansas City's history with a 1920s themed TOBY Awards Gala. Enjoy the spirit of the "Roaring 20s" and the "Jazz Age" and feel free to dress the part!

The Outstanding Building of the Year^® (TOBY) Awards are the most prestigious and comprehensive awards of their kind in the commercial real estate industry, recognizing quality in commercial buildings and rewarding excellence in building management in hundreds of communitites around the country. This awards program begins at the local level and culminates in the international awards, which are bestoed at the annual TOBY Awards Gala. During the competitions, all facets of a building's operations are thoroughly evaluated—with everything from community involvement and site management to environmental and green policies and procedures considered.

Tickets for the TOBY^® Awards Gala are $155 each if purchased by June 15 and $175 after that date depending on availability.

If you are the owner or part of the management team of a building that has been nominated for an award at the international level and will be attending only the TOBY Awards Gala, click here to download the registration form.
