Lindsay C. Young is a proficient strategic planning and marketing professional with a strong track record in effective project management and development. With extensive experience in the maritime transportation and hospitality industries, Lindsay joined the PhilaPort team in December 2017 as a project analyst. In her current role as Manager of Business Development and Planning, she spearheads capital, land-use, and transportation planning efforts, successfully securing over $90 million in federal and state grants to date. Lindsay's leadership was pivotal in the development and management of PhilaPort’s Strategic Plan: Destination 2040—a comprehensive roadmap guiding the Port's future development over the next 15 years.
Lindsay holds an M.B.A. from Drexel University Lebow College of Business and a B.A. in International Studies from The Ohio State University. She serves as Vice President of the Traffic Club of Philadelphia and Vice Chair of the Transportation Research Board’s Ports & Channels Committee. Lindsay is a designated Maritime Port Executive, and she recently completed the American Association of Port Authorities Ports Professional Manager (PPM) Certification in 2023. She sits on the advisory boards of the Young Friends of the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Philadelphia Ballet and volunteers at the Free Library of Philadelphia.
