Komfort IQ is an HVAC energy reduction solution using sensors, machine learning and smart motors to control existing balancing dampers on a room-by-room basis based occupancy, temperature, sound, light, humidity, and CO2. Our software creates behavioral and thermodynamic models to proactively heat or cool spaces based on an individual’s preferences in commercial and educational buildings. Simply, we remove the standard damper handle on existing balancing dampers and replace the handle with a smart motor to modulate based on our data.

By automating the dampers in each office/zone we are:

  • Reducing HVAC energy consumption by 40-60%
  • Solving the hot office/cold office problem
  • Providing continuous IAQ monitoring
  • Allow individuals to regulate individual spaces. 

It’s important to note that we are a comparably low expenditure, low-interference (literally a sensor in every room, a motor on existing dampers, a tablet on the wall and two low-voltage wires/room) retrofit solution for deep energy savings, CO2 emission reduction, thermal comfort and IAQ monitoring in commercial office buildings.
