The Outstanding Building of the Year® (TOBY) Awards are the most prestigious and comprehensive awards of their kind in the commercial real estate industry, recognizing quality in commercial buildings and rewarding excellence in building management in hundreds of communities around the country. This awards program begins at the local level and culminates in the international awards, which are bestowed at the annual TOBY Awards Banquet. During the competitions, all facets of a building's operations are thoroughly evaluated—with everything from community involvement and site management to environmental and green policies and procedures considered. There is a winner in each of the following categories:
- Five office building categories ranging from under 100,000 square feet to over 1 million square feet
- Corporate Facility
- Earth Category
- Historical Building
- Industrial Office Building
- Medical Office Building
- Mixed-Use Building
- Public Assembly Building
- Retail (Enclosed)
- Retail (Open Air)
- Renovated Building
- Suburban Office Park Low-Rise
- Suburban Office Park Mid-Rise

Tickets for the TOBY® Awards Reception and Banquet are $155 each if purchased before June 15 and $175 each after that date.
If you are the owner or part of the management team of a building that has been nominated for an award at the International level and will be attending only the TOBY Awards Banquet, please click here for the TOBY Nominee Registration Form.
