A Sustainable Event

We are working closely with the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center (BCEC) and our conference hotels on sustainability initiatives and recycling conference waste. As one of the newer convention center facilities in the country, the BCEC was designed with sustainability in mind. They have energy-saving lighting, HVAC systems, biodegradable cleaning chemicals and an extensive recycling program. Click here to learn more about BCEC's sustainability initiatives.

Recycling containers will be placed throughout the facility to collect plastic bottles, glass, paper and cardboard. To reduce paper waste, we no longer print handouts and all the information you need can be found on the mobile app. Name badge holders will be collected and sanitized for reuse. We're also reducing carbon emissions by being at a venue where the hotels are right next to the convention center, eliminating the need for shuttles.

We are participating in the Convention Cares program. At the end of the show, BOMA and its exhibitors and sponsors are able to leave behind donations, including leftover hand sanitizers and PPE, that will be donated to local organizations that can put them to good use.
