Charla Rios

Former Executive Vice President, Property Management
DCT Industrial Trust


As DCT Industrial Trust’s Executive Vice President of Property Management, Ms. Rios joined DCT in 2011 and was responsible for planning, directing and managing DCT’s property management organization and leading our property management teams. Ms. Rios was a member of DCT’s Executive and Internal Investment Committee. DCT owns and operates 74 million square feet of high-quality bulk distribution and light industrial properties in North America. Ms. Rios led the development and execution of DCT’s sustainability vision and program, ensuring the Company’s sustainability effort supports the long-term interests of DCT and its shareholders, partners and customers.

Ms. Rios is a Senior executive with a strong leadership track record in commercial industrial real estate, including property management, strategic planning, department structure and development, operations, systems development, training and motivational speaking. Experienced at driving revenue growth through customer retention, as well as reducing costs through operational analysis. Strong analytic skills and an expert communicator of complex issues to audiences of all levels.

Ms. Rios brings over 30 years of property management experience and an extensive background in customer service excellence and industrial property management. Prior to joining DCT, Ms. Rios served as First Vice President and West Regional Property Manager of Prologis for 16 years. While at Prologis, Ms. Rios oversaw the West Region property management team, in 10 markets located in six states—totaling 1,500 customers and over 92M square feet of industrial bulk distribution facilities. Ms. Rios is a member of the BOMA National Advisory Council and serves on the BOMA Industrial Committee. In April 2018, DCT Industrial announced it would be acquired by Prologis in an $8.4 billion transaction.
