Captain (Retired) Joseph Evangelista retired from the New York City Fire Department (FDNY) after 27 years. During his last assignment, Mr. Evangelista was Director of Emergency Planning and Preparedness, responsible for overseeing the development and implementation all hazard-plans for over 2,300 commercial office buildings within the five boroughs of New York City. Upon his retirement, Mr. Evangelista continued his work as Director, Business Development for Croker Risk Management, assisting commercial office buildings nationwide in enhancing preparedness. Mr. Evangelista is a member of NFPA's 1082 committee (Professional Qualifications for Facilities Fire and Life Safety Director) and NFPA 2800 Emergency Action Plans; ICC Northeast Regional working group for fire codes; BOMA/NY's Codes and Regs Committee and the Fire Safety Director's Association of Greater New York City.
