She has been instrumental in the development and implementation of a national energy and environmental strategy, which has earned USAA the ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year for Sustained Excellence—the first real estate company to earn 8 ENERGY STAR awards. She led the company’s efforts to partner with USGBC to develop a Portfolio Program Pilot for LEED certifying USAA’s entire real estate portfolio. She is a member of Governor Schwarzenegger’s Real Estate Industry Leadership Council that serves to help the public and private sector real estate in California reduce energy consumption by 20% by 2015.
