As managing director of national property management, Brenna's primary responsibilities include portfolio management and asset management of multi-family, retail and medical office lines of business for USAA Real Estate Company.  She is responsible for the property management staff which oversees the company's national portfolio encompassing approximately 65.5 million square feet.  She has been instrumental in the development and implementation of a national energy and environmental strategy, which has earned USAA the ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year for Sustained Excellence—the first real estate company to earn 8 ENERGY STAR awards.  She led the company’s efforts to partner with USGBC to develop a Portfolio Program Pilot for LEED certifying USAA’s entire real estate portfolio.  She is a member of Governor Schwarzenegger’s Real Estate Industry Leadership Council that serves to help the public and private sector real estate in California reduce energy consumption by 20% by 2015.
