Connect With the Best Buildings in Philadelphia

Sustainable, state-of-the-art office towers. Renovated and repurposed commercial space. Restored historic landmarks. This is your chance to tour behind the scenes of Philadelphia's most remarkable buildings on one of the four building tours. Each tour is offered on both Monday and Tuesday. Conference or Expo-Only registration is required to participate. There is no additional fee, however, space is limited and sign-up is on a first-come, first-served basis. You may sign up for one tour per day at the BOMA registration desk, beginning Sunday, June 28.

Center City Tour
This downtown tour features Philadelphia’s tallest building, the COMCAST Center, Two Liberty Place and Friends Center. This is a walking tour, as the buildings are within close walking distance. The tour will depart the Convention Center promptly at 2:30 pm.

COMCAST CenterCOMCAST Center

With 2008 occupancy, the newest landmark for Philadelphia rises to 975' and 57 stories. Amenities include 11' finished ceilings, multiple three-story stacked atria, 9'6" verticle glass, 120' Winter Garden entrance, and the world's largest four millimeter LED Screen (video wall) with 10 million pixels and 5x HD resolution. Sustainable building design with the intent of achieving LEED certification, Georges Perrier Signature restaurant, gourmet food hall at concourse level, 1/2 acre landscaped plaza and direct connection to all public transportation lines via a new interior concourse. This building is registered with the U.S. Green Building Council and is seeking LEED certification.Two Liberty Place

Two Liberty Place

Constructed in 1990 as a multi-tenant commercial office building, this 58-story high rise underwent a revamping in 2007 to include luxury condominiums on the top 20 floors. This mixed property use highlights the possibilities that existing Class A facilities can bring to a community.

Friends CenterFriends Center

Developed by the Quaker community, the Friends Center recently underwent renovations to serve as a Witness to the Environment. Renovations include seven standing column wells for geothermal heat exchange; a green roof and cistern system for rainwater management; and open office design to eliminate wasted space and enhance natural lighting, reducing the energy needed to illuminate the space.

 


Museum Area
This tour features the Philadelphia Museum of Art and Fairmount Water Works. The bus for this tour will depart the Convention Center promptly at 2:30 pm.

The city's premier cultural attraction is one of the country's leading museums. One of the greatest treasures of the museum is the building itself. Constructed in 1928 of Minnesota dolomite, it's modeled after ancient Greek temples but on a grander scale. This "back of house" tour provides a fantastic insight into the operations of a museum.Fairmount Waterworks

 

 

Fairmount Water Works

The first municipal waterworks in the United States opened in 1822 and was in operation until 1909. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976 and now operates as an Interpretive Center. This tour traces the development of a major city's infrastructure development.

 

University City Area
This tour features Cira Centre and Science Center. The bus for this tour will depart the Convention Center promptly at 2:30 pm.

The tallest building outside the central business district, the 28-story Cira Centre is the leader in expanding the City's CBD into the University City area (home to Drexel University and the University of Pennsylvania), thus bridging the best of Philadelphia by linking education to research, business and culture. Its distinctive design and accent lighting enhances Philadelphia's image as a forward-thinking city. Cira Centre offers its tenants direct access to Philadelphia's 30th Street Station, as well as easy access to major roadways.Science Center

 

Science Center

This highly unique high rise speculative research facility is situated in the heart of the university and health care community. The building is located in the first urban research park in the United States. It features ready-to-occupy research laboratories with office space and a green roof. Completed in 2008, the slab-to-slab heights of 14'8" and average floorplates of 35,000 RSF enhance the sustainable and energy-efficient design incorporated in this facility.

 

 

Navy Yard
This trolley tour features the Navy Yard, One Crescent Drive and Sports Complex. The trolley for this tour will depart the Convention Center promptly at 2:30 pm.

With up to 12 million square feet of capacity for historic renovations and opportunities for office, research and development, light and heavy industrial, distribution, marina and recreational uses, The Navy Yard is the Philadelphia region's largest and most dynamic business location and development opportunity.

 

One Crescent Drive

Built in 2005, One Crescent Drive is a four-story building at the Navy Yard Corporate Center. It is located in a Keystone Opportunity Improvement Zone (KOIZ). The building's green design provides an efficient workplace environment and has been certified as a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Platinum Building by the U.S.Green Building Council.

 

Lincoln Financial FieldSports Complex

Driving tour of the new sports stadium complex which includes Citizens Bank Park (World Champion Phillies), Lincoln Financial Field (Eagles) and The Wachovia Center (Flyers & Sixers).
