Sunday General Session Sunday, June 28 | 1:00-3:00 pm Pennsylvania Convention Center | Searching for Value in All the Right Places

Sponsored by Yardi/SiteStuff
What began as a credit crisis in the subprime residential market, quickly spread into a full-fledged recession across the United States and throughout the world. Major banks collapsed, retailers went out of business, and unemployment reached levels not seen in decades. For commercial real estate it meant that leasing came to a screeching halt, and searching for capital to refinance commercial loans was like finding a needle in a haystack. But there are some bright spots if you act strategically and take a "back-to-basics" approach to property management.
This Town Hall discussion takes an in-depth look at how industry luminaries are turning the global credit crisis into marketplace opportunities. The panelists will reveal their strategies for enhancing asset value, finding the opportunities, and leading their companies through these volatile times.
Moderator:
Andrew C. Florance, President and CEO of CoStar Group, will moderate the discussion. Andrew C. Florance founded CoStar Group, Inc. in 1987, fundamentally changing the way commercial real estate professionals access, use and share property information. As President and CEO, Mr. Florance has directed CoStar's successful expansion from start-up, to its IPO in July 1998, to its market-leading position today with 1,300 employees, a client base that includes the commercial real estate industry's leading brokerage firms and property owners as well as an international service platform. Florance co-authored the first comprehensive, nationwide analysis of leasing and sales activity in energy-efficient office buildings. He is also on the Board of Directors for the American Real Estate Society.
