COVID-19 Information

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. By attending the 2021 BOMA International Conference & Expo, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.  We strongly encourage all attendees to get vaccinated if you can. It is the best way to protect yourself from contracting the virus. 

As the world continues to make positive strides to end COVID-19, we want to do our part by continuing to aid in the reduction of the spread. We look forward to meeting in Boston, MA — safely. 
 

• The CDC issued new guidelines in late July, recommending that fully vaccinated people continue to wear face masks indoors while the Delta variant is surging. Therefore, we will require all attendees to wear a face covering while attending the conference. This is subject to change per CDC recommendations. 
• Unvaccinated attendees must wear a face covering and practice social distancing at all times while participating in conference events, indoors and outside.
• Importantly, we will not be checking the vaccination status of attendees or asking them to wear a face covering. Per the CDC's guidance, we will rely on the honor system. 
• BOMA cannot guarantee that other attendees will be vaccinated and cannot guarantee conference participants will not become infected with COVID-19.

We are monitoring the ongoing developments and policy changes concerning pandemic safety and will follow policies and safety precautions in place at the time of the conference. We are working closely with our Boston venues and vendors to ensure we provide an environment that meets local, state and CDC guidelines. All attendees must follow posted instructions and safety protocols, including wearing a face mask if required, and respecting social distancing. Instructions and protocols are subject to change.
